Lex is an amazing Newf, an incredible working dog! At his (and mine) very first working event he earned the NCA Draft Dog title. Five months later Lex earned the Junior Water Dog title, again on the first try. Then only two months later Lex earned his first Novice obedience leg at the Newfoundland Club of Northern California Regional specialty with a “High In Trial”!!! Lex quickly completed all three Novice legs with all first placements and was the #10 Top in NCA Obedience. Lex loves swimming and easily earned the Senior Water Rescue Dog title and Water Rescue Dog Excellent title all on the first try. Lex took his love of working to the next level by completing the CDX title finishing with a BIG First Place at an all-breed obedience club trial, thus earning NCA’s Working Achievement Award! Despite all of my inexperience, Lex has excelled beyond my wildest dreams and he’s not quite done yet!
